An official application was made to the Ministry of Industry and Trade on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 for the opening of a Technology Development Zone in the Göller Region. Göller Bölgesi Teknokent A.Ş. was established on 10.11.2005 with the approval of the Decree of the Council of Ministers dated 19.08.2005 and numbered 2005/9310, which entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated 08.09.2005 and numbered 25930, and the approval of the General Directorate of Research and Development of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Turkey.
